This is a Handmade reusable hoop - in welded steel - not metal tubing
with a RECLAIMED RECYCLED BASE

PLEASE NOTE - They fit together by the hoop sitting between the timber planks which are 2.5cm deep and a minimum of 4cm of the hoop size will be used up by this. The planks will be slightly wider than the gap required (1cm) for the hoop so depending on the size of your cake bottom tier and if you are wrapping the hoop with decoration you may want to use sticky heavy duty pads to reduce the gap and cushion the hoop as there will be some flexibility.

BASE FINISHES

The reclaimed recycled wood bases are hand made and they are all 'weathered' and are made in 2.5cm thick planks from used scaffolding planks and comes in -

Dark rustic - has a dark weathered appearance but has a dark waxed applied plus a varnish top coat. The wax can be reapplied to darken the wood to maintain the appearance.

PLEASE NOTE ----------The wood we use is recycled reclaimed timber which will have some dents and cracks which adds to its character.

Our work is made from reclaimed timber and the unused or unseen back side of the wood is not restored and comes in its original condition. We strongly recommend you store the wooden base somewhere dry and flat as it is a natural product and can warp in changing temperatures. Each piece is hand worked and hand painted. Therefore some of the wood grain, knots, indentations, variance in colour will show through. These variations and simple imperfections are what make your wood sign unique as no two pieces are ever the same.

Please note that everything we make in metal is handmade and there will be a welded joint and some minor inperfections with the metal - ideally the join should be hidden within the base.
